Software Test Engineer*This is an onsite position Description:The client is looking for a Test Engineer to support our Advanced Technology Software Engineering Team. As a member of the Software Engineering department, you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, superconducting foundry engineers, and software engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD.Responsibilities:Stand-up software test architecture for a legacy COTS applicationCollaborate with developers, SM, and PO’s to identify critical testsWrite and perform all tests to ensure quality software products prior to software releaseRequired Skills/Knowledge/Experience:Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experienceWorking knowledge in one of the following languages: C , WinFormsExperience in developing unit tests, refactoring code, and smoke testsDemonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:Experienced in creating and deploying a test architecture for legacy applicationsAbility to work independently and as part of a fast-paced teamUtilized Atlassian software suiteExperience working within an agile scrum frameworkProper email communication will only be done to and from @astyra.com email addresses.
