Internal Audit Manager – North America | CPA Essential

Astrum Search is partnering with a global FTSE 20 / Fortune Global 500 organisation to hire an Internal Audit Manager for North America.
This is a high-profile role within a best-in-class Internal Audit function, offering real influence across a large, consumer-focused business operating at scale across the US and Canada.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Audit Services, you will lead the North America audit plan, work closely with senior leaders, and provide practical insight on risk, controls, and governance. The environment is fast-moving, commercial, and highly visible.
CPA is essential for this role – candidates without CPA will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and delivery of internal audits across North America
- Maintain the audit universe and support annual audit planning
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- Support risk assessment and Audit Committee reporting
- Provide insight and thought leadership on risk and controls
- Drive continuous improvement of audit methodology and processes
Skills & Experience:
- Strong internal audit background within a large, complex organisation or professional services firm
- Recent US SOX experience strongly preferred
- CPA qualification is essential
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- SAP, HFM, and data analytics experience beneficial but not essential
