JOB SUMMARY
The Team Assembler will gain experience and skills while working on a single-piece flow line.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform basic electronic, electromechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or subassemblies
- Perform repetitive duties in a single piece flow mixed model cell
- Follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation and fitting on assembly units
- Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to work instructions
- Perform basic functional tests such as Hi-pot and continuity tests
- May work on other cells to perform basic assembly tasks as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrates competency (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)

- Comprehension ? Understand and apply information conveyed in written and oral methods
- Communication ? Communicate information and ideas, written and verbal, so others will understand
- Near Vision ? See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Visual Color Discrimination ? Match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
- Finger Dexterity ? Make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
- Problem Sensitivity ? Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and notifying appropriate people.
- Customer Service ? Understand and quickly respond to customer needs
- Selective Attention ? The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
Technical Skills:
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including torque drivers
- Electronic mail software
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software
Work Environment:
- Indoors, environmentally controlled Manufacturing environment
- Production demand may have times of increased time pressure
- Must use required PPE
- May involve long periods of sitting
- May involve repetitive motions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed, with totes, etc.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Salary is $16.94 - $22.91 per hour. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
