CDL Class A Truck Driver

We are now hiring full-time Solo CDL Class A Truck Drivers in New Haven, IN.

If you have experience as a Class A CDL Truck Driver for companies such as FedEx, Western Express, Dollar General, Amazon, or Werner, you may be the perfect candidate.

Astrom Transportation Inc. is immediately hiring professional Class A CDL drivers to handle unassigned FedEx Ground runs from the New Haven area safely and efficiently.

AVAILABLE RUNS

RUN 1 – MOST PREFERRED

Drivers Needed: 1 Solo Driver
Schedule: Sunday – Friday
Dispatch: 3:30 PM
Weekly Miles: Approximately 2,365 miles
Weekly Pay: $1,900/week
Minimum Rate: $0.78 CPM
Day Off: Saturday

This is our most preferred opening and offers strong weekly miles and earning potential for an experienced solo driver.

RUN 2

Drivers Needed: 2 Solo Drivers
Schedule: Sunday – Friday
Dispatch: 9:30 PM
Weekly Miles: Approximately 1,710 miles
Weekly Pay: $1,350/week
Minimum Rate: $0.78 CPM
Day Off: Saturday

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must possess one year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last three years.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no accidents or tickets in the past 3 years.
• Must have or be ready to attain a Doubles/Triples endorsement.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
• Must complete Background Check, MVR Screening, Clearinghouse login, and Drug Test.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip, post-trip, and safety inspections on equipment.
• Handle Drop & Hook freight only.
• No-touch freight.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays, arrivals, and equipment problems to dispatch.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

• $1,900/week on Run 1
• $1,350/week on Run 2
• Minimum $0.78 CPM
