As the Senior Director of Permanent Supportive Housing, you will help shape housing stability, operational excellence, and culturally responsive care across multiple housing programs and sites serving Native communities throughout Seattle.

Requirements

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Monitor daily operations of CSC permanent supportive housing programs, emergency housing services, and Tiny Home Village operations.

  • Guide multi-site housing operations with a focus on resident safety, housing stability, service quality, and operational consistency.

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices that improve program effectiveness and resident outcomes.

  • Monitor occupancy, housing retention, staffing performance, operational metrics, and program outcomes.

  • Identify operational and compliance issues and implement timely solutions.

  • Partner with executive leadership to strengthen housing systems, operational infrastructure, and cross-department coordination.

Resident Services & Staff Leadership

  • Promote a trauma-informed, culturally grounded, resident-centered environment aligned with Housing First and harm reduction principles.

  • Ensure residents have access to supportive services, including behavioral health resources, healthcare access, substance use support, and community-based programming.

  • Support staff in responding to crisis situations, resident conflicts, and complex housing stabilization needs.

  • Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate housing and administrative staff.

  • Build a collaborative and accountable team culture focused on resident well-being and operational excellence.

Compliance, Financial Oversight & Partnerships

  • Ensure compliance with applicable housing regulations, Fair Housing requirements, ADA standards, and funder expectations.

  • Support program reporting, audits, documentation standards, and operational accountability.

  • Assist with budget oversight, resource planning, and monitoring operational spending trends.

  • Utilize operational data and reporting tools to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain relationships with Tribal partners, healthcare providers, housing agencies, behavioral health organizations, and community service partners.

  • Represent the Chief Seattle Club in community meetings, advocacy initiatives, and collaborative housing efforts.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supportive housing, homelessness services, behavioral health, housing operations, or related human services environments.

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience supervising teams, managers, or multi-site housing operations.

  • Experience working within Permanent Supportive Housing, Housing First, trauma-informed care, or harm reduction service models.

  • Experience supporting vulnerable populations experiencing homelessness, behavioral health conditions, substance use disorders, or housing instability.

  • Knowledge of supportive housing regulations, Fair Housing requirements, ADA compliance, and program accountability standards.

  • Experience with operational reporting, audits, program compliance, and budget oversight preferred.

  • Lived and/or professional experience within Tribal Nations or urban Native American communities strongly preferred.

Leadership Qualifications

  • Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-acuity supportive housing environments.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate operational challenges, and maintain accountability across programs.

  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Commitment to culturally responsive leadership and community-centered care.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and operational reporting systems.



Education & Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, Behavioral Health, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field required. Equivalent lived and professional experience may be considered.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience working in Indigenous-serving, housing-focused, healthcare, behavioral health, or mission-driven nonprofit organizations strongly preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between housing sites as needed.
