Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises using foot or vehicle patrols to monitor for signs of unauthorized access, vandalism, or safety hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and identify potential threats or breaches in security
- Enforce security policies by inspecting individuals, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the premises to prevent theft, loss, or unauthorized entry
- Provide first aid and CPR in emergency situations until professional medical assistance arrives
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate disputes effectively
- Maintain detailed logs of patrol activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or damage
Requirements
- Proven experience in law enforcement, security, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications such as CCTV operation or surveillance training are a plus
- Strong understanding of security procedures and protocols including conflict management techniques
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems effectively
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and inspections
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; capable of responding quickly in emergency situations
- Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and security best practices
