What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Planner position at Astro Pak?
Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.
At Astro Pak, we provide high-purity cleaning and surface preparation services to some of the most demanding industries in the world—like aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing. We’re looking for a Process Planner who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a sharp eye for detail, and can turn complex project requirements into accurate, efficient work instructions—often within 24 hours.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00-3:30pm EST, onsite in Titusville, FL.
What You’ll Do:
- Create shop Travelers and work instructions based on customer purchase orders, specifications, and test requirements
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between customer POs and AS9100/specification requirements
- Calculate cleanliness verification sampling volumes and plans
- Generate labels, certifications, and documentation with 100% accuracy
- Support process engineering and operations teams with procedure updates and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accuracy and organization in traveler templates and documentation systems
- Ensure all processes meet quality assurance objectives and comply with U.S. Export Control Laws
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED required; some experience in customer service, manufacturing, or related fields preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to quickly learn internal systems
- Ability to read and understand technical work instructions and specifications
- Comfort with performing mathematical calculations for surface area and volume
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
