Location: Tyler, TX
Astro Machine & Tool is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing team. This position focuses on CNC turning and precision-machined components in a fast-paced job shop environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Machine parts to tight tolerances (±.001" or better)
- Set up and run threads (internal and external)
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Make minor program edits and offset adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of CNC lathe/turning experience preferred
- Ability to independently perform setups
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Experience holding tight tolerances
- Job shop experience is a plus
- Must provide own basic machinist tools
