JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Sales Assistant is responsible for handling the day-to-day duties within the Sales Department providing support for the Sales Reps and customer service to our Customers.
Essential Functions
- Receive request for quotations (RFQ) via telephone, e-mail, or fax and distribute to appropriate Rep.
- Source the correct product if possible.
- Obtain Purchase Order from Sales Rep, enter order, and generate picker.
- Send sales order acknowledgments to customers.
- Handle all customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Expedite orders for customers and/or product from vendors.
- Provide proof of delivery as needed.
- Maintain and organize all filing for Sales Department. Move to secure location at year-end.
- Assist in answering incoming phone calls as needed.
- Other duties as required

Required Education and Experience
High School Degree or G.E.D. and previous customer service experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Associate’s degree and previous customer service and industry experience
