Overview: Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken in Shirlington is seeking a motivated Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cash handling, retail sales, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide exceptional service
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions
- Prepare coffee and other beverages to order, following recipes and quality standards
- Prep food items and assemble customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including food prep and beverage stations
- Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverages
Experience: The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following skills:
- Cash handling experience
- Experience preparing coffee/espresso drinks or food prep (a plus)
- Proficiency in phone etiquette
- Bilingual proficiency (a plus)
- Strong time management skills
- Able to follow direction and work efficiently
- Comfortable multitasking between register, food prep, and beverage duties
- Need to enjoy working with customers
