Position Summary

The Spacecraft Integration Technician is responsible for the assembly, integration, and test of complex satellite subsystems and payloads. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and test of satellite subsystems, including: Electronics modules, Mechanical structures, Propulsion systems, Antennas, and Payloads.
• Collaborate with the Test Engineering Team for functional and performance tests on integrated subsystems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all assembly, integration, and test activities.
• Adhere to strict quality control procedures and cleanroom protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure all integration activities are performed in accordance with design specifications and project timelines.
• Assist in the development and improvement of integration and test procedures.
• Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment within the cleanroom.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical trade school, associate degree, or military technical experience is a plus.
• 1–4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, integration, manufacturing, or test within a technical or precision-focused environment.
• Experience using basic hand tools, torque tools, measurement tools, and standard assembly equipment.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
• Experience with soldering, cable/harness assembly, connector terminations, or electronic integration work is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform accurate, repeatable work.
• Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail for precision assembly tasks.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced cross-functional team environment.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and follow ESD, FOD, and quality control procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC Solder Certifications
• Experience with Spacecraft Lifting and Handling Procedures.
• Experience working on developmental satellite systems is a strong advantage.
• Experience in Harness Manufacturing and Solar Cell Laydown is a strong advantage.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Experience with space-qualified components.

Pay Transparency

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 Lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required.
