QC Technician - Biology

Our client is a global, research-driven pharmaceutical manufacturer focusing on treatment options for diseases and conditions for which there is no satisfactory treatment option to date. The company is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on cutting edge treatments and make a difference!

Pay: $22/hr

Schedule: 1st shift

Type of Job: Over a year assignment with possible extension

Responsibilities:

• Perform bio-analytical testing of raw materials, in-process, and final products (immunological, in vivo, microbiological, molecular biological, or virological)
• Microbial testing for environmental monitoring
• Collecting air samples and testing
• Water testing
• Prepping and maintenance of supplies
• Operating lab equipment
• Ordering supplies
• Preparing media
• Cleaning glassware and running the autoclave

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree – Biology degree preferred but any life sciences degree is relevant
• Experience with aseptic techniques  
• Experience with microbiological techniques preferred
• • Plating samples
  • Enumeration of bacterial colonies
  • Gram stain techniques
• Experience with LIMS preferred
