Laboratory Animal Technician Daily Tasks: What you will do:Provide daily care and monitoring of research animals, reporting any health concerns.Manage animal breeding colonies, including mating, weaning, animal identification, and tissue biopsy.Maintain accurate breeding and husbandry records and respond to researcher inquiries.Change cages, ensure adequate food/water, and maintain clean and sanitized work areas.Perform animal handling, restraint, transfers, and humane euthanasia when required.Monitor and document environmental conditions and report equipment or compliance issues. Laboratory Animal Technician Qualifications/Requirements:2 years of experience in laboratory animal care, veterinary technician work, or related field.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to handle and restrain research animals safely.AALAS ALAT Certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire).
