Job Title: Materials Scientist – Thermal Management
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Materials Scientist to join our Advanced Research & Development team at Astrix. As a Materials Scientist, you will lead the development of next-generation thermal management materials, shaping the future of high-performance solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop innovative thermal interface materials (TIMs) and related products.
- Characterize and evaluate new raw materials for use in advanced formulations.
- Lead critical product development projects from concept to commercialization.
- Perform thermal and structural material characterization using TGA, DSC, microscopy, and spectroscopy techniques.
- Optimize product formulations and manufacturing processes for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Monitor industry trends and intellectual property developments in thermal and conductive materials.
- Partner with academic institutions, research organizations, and industrial collaborators to co-develop cutting-edge technologies.
Requirements:
- D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- ~2 years of hands-on experience in thermal materials development, material characterization, or performance testing.
- Proficiency in thermal analysis and material characterization techniques (e.g., TGA, DSC, microscopy, and spectroscopy).
- Project management experience is a plus.
