About The Role
You will own a portfolio of high‑value accounts and be responsible for new business development, account expansion, and closing complex scientific software deals. You’ll work directly with R&D leaders and computational chemistry teams to position solutions that accelerate molecular design.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and acquire new accounts across pharma, biotech, and academia.
- Manage full sales cycles from first outreach to close, including renewals and upsells.
- Engage scientific decision‑makers such as computational and medicinal chemists.
- Deliver strong product demos that clearly communicate value and ROI.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support evaluations and customer success.
- Develop territory and account plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computational Chemistry, or related scientific fields are also accepted.
- 5–7 years of scientific software sales experience in drug discovery, computational chemistry, or similar scientific software sales.
- Proven success selling into pharma and biotech using a consultative, solutions‑focused approach.
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
