We are seeking a Quality Control Scientist to join the Raw Materials team supporting a global pharmaceutical/biotech organization. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a GMP environment with strong potential for long-term growth and conversion.
Location: San Diego County, CA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $36–$47/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM Start
6-Month Contract ( potential for conversion)
Pay Rates
(1–3 years): Up to $36/hr
(3–5 years): Up to $40/hr
(5 years): Up to $47/hr

Key Responsibilities
- Perform QC testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Conduct analytical testing and review data for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain compliance with cGMP standards, SOPs, and documentation practices
- Write, revise, and support GMP documentation (SOPs, specifications, test methods)
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation (HPLC, UPLC, GC, Mass Spec, UV)
- Support method validation, calibration, and equipment maintenance
- Manage raw material processes including receiving, quarantine, testing, and release
- Investigate deviations, out-of-specification results, and support stability activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a GMP pharma/biotech environment
- Hands-on experience with HPLC (required)
- Experience with analytical instrumentation (GC, HPLC, Mass Spec, etc.)
- Experience in QC, raw materials, or analytical lab settings
- Strong understanding of GMP and documentation practices
