Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager will serve as a key leader in maintaining and advancing the organization's quality management systems and regulatory compliance programs. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual who can balance strategic quality system improvements with day-to-day operational oversight. Essential Duties

• Partner with Research & Development, Supply Chain, Operations, and other departments to establish and refine processes that ensure ongoing compliance with current and evolving food safety regulations.
• Lead the enhancement and optimization of quality management systems, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Develop and facilitate comprehensive training programs for production associates and cross-functional team members on quality protocols, food safety requirements, and GMP standards.
• Evaluate and verify quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment including production records, specifications, and testing reports.
• Coordinate and participate in internal compliance assessments and serve in a leadership capacity during third-party certification audits and regulatory inspections.
• Direct root cause investigations for quality deviations, non-conformances, and process failures using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Manage the corrective and preventive action system, ensuring timely implementation, verification, and effectiveness validation of all CAPA initiatives.
• Oversee data collection, trend analysis, and statistical evaluation to support quality decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Must be Bilingual in Spanish & English.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science) or related field; candidates with strong technical backgrounds in other scientific areas will be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a quality assurance or food safety role.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HACCP plans from concept through validation.
• Proven capability managing audit processes, corrective actions, preventive measures, data analysis, and validation activities.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or ingredient production environments required.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• SQF Practitioner certification or equivalent GFSI credential.
• PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) or HACCP certification.
• Experience with specialty food ingredients, color additives, or confectionery manufacturing.
