Responsibilities
- Prepare biological specimens for analysis using LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and GC instrumentation.
- Prepare calibrators, quality control samples, and standards according to established SOPs.
- Review and monitor quality control data, investigate discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot chromatography instrumentation to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform high-complexity testing on a variety of specimen types using automated and manual laboratory methods.
- Conduct routine instrument maintenance and support laboratory operations.
- Follow CLIA regulations, quality standards, and laboratory procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to established laboratory protocols.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Master's degree preferred; candidates with a Bachelor's degree and additional chromatography experience are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS, HPLC, or other chromatography instrumentation.
- Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory procedures.
- Experience with pipetting, analytical balances, pH meters, and standard laboratory equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient with laboratory software and Microsoft Office applications.
