We are currently looking an Associate R&D Food Technologist to join our team! This is a contract-to-hire position offering a pay rate range of $28-32/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop and improve new and existing products based on customer or internal requirements.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in formulation development.
- Taste and evaluate all developed products for quality and consistency.
- Work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project objectives.
- Perform product costing calculations and maintain accurate cost data.
- Create and maintain master formulas in company databases for future reference.
- Draft product specifications for supervisor review and approval.
- Conduct shelf-life and stability testing on finished products.
- Establish and manage protocols for all outgoing product samples.
- Collaborate with Quality Control and Production teams during first-time product manufacturing runs.
- Coordinate with the Shipping Department to ensure proper packaging and handling of product samples.
- Handle all sample requests and inquiries.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food industry or a related field.
- Strong mathematical proficiency, including a working knowledge of algebra.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong sensory acuity for taste and aroma evaluation.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
