Astrion is looking for a Program Acquisition Support (PAS) Specialist to support the Space Systems Integration Office Space Digital Ecosystem Branch located at Space Systems Command (SSC), Los Angeles AFB, CA.
This position will directly support the Digital Ecosystem Branch under the Enterprise Capabilities Division within the Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO). The Digital Ecosystem Branch is responsible for advancing the integration, modernization, and sustainment of digital engineering capabilities across the Space Systems Command (SSC) portfolio, enabling enterprise-wide digital transformation and mission success for the U.S. Space Force.
Seeking a proactive and highly organized Program Acquisition Support Specialist to provide direct, hands-on support to a government contract onsite for 4 days/week. The primary role of this function is to relieve the Program Manager of managerial burdens of the contract and to fulfill the day-to-day execution of contractual processes while ensuring all administrative tasks run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations; thus, allowing the Program Manager and leadership to focus on strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree.
- 5 years, exceptions considered based on demonstrated experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); adaptable to new analytical tools.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for task management, managing review workflow, task delegation and collaborative documentation in a digital engineering environment.
- Able to create Plans/Views and manage JIRA boards.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Experience with Adaptive Acquisition Framework for Software (military, contractor, or DoD civilian) as a SETA.
- Familiarity with the DoD acquisition lifecycle.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and modern software engineering principles.
Acquisition Process Management
- Directly manage and execute administrative processes across the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements definition, market research, post-award contract modifications, and closeout.
- Prepare, review, and manage acquisition documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a complete repository of contractual paperwork.
- Manage program schedules, track milestones, monitor deliverables, and prepare regular performance reports to keep leadership informed and the contract on track.
- Administer program budget tracking, prepare financial reports, and maintain expenditure records to support the government PM.
- Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage program schedules, track milestones, monitor deliverables, and maintain comprehensive program documentation, ensuring transparency and alignment across all stakeholders.
- Act as a primary technical and administrative point of contact, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment between government personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Digital Engineering and Tooling
- Support the development and use of digital engineering tools, including functional installation, setup, and maintenance of software within SSC's digital environment.
- Familiarity with System-of-Systems (SoS) and Federation-of-Systems (FoS) solutions under operational scenarios to recommend modernization updates.
- Familiar with the design, development, and phases of software product development and operational deployment.
- Collaborate with Digital Engineers and Government Customers to define lifecycle requirements and ensure robust software design using a test-driven approach.
