Astrion is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Executive Support Action Officer (AO) to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) in Arlington, VA. SAF/SQ oversees Department of the Air Force (DAF) space systems acquisition and architecture integration, including coordination with allied, civil, and commercial partners to ensure a unified United States Space Force (USSF) architecture.
These responsibilities are executed in close collaboration with the Chief of Space Operations (CSO) and the USSF staff. SAF/SQ also serves as the Space Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) and provides oversight for the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), Space Systems Command (SSC), and the Space Development Agency (SDA).

Required Qualifications / Skills
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of directly relevant experience (advanced degree or additional experience may substitute).
- Demonstrated experience managing staff actions, tasking systems, or correspondence tracking tools such as TMT, ETMS2, or CATMS.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard communication applications.
- Experience supporting senior executives or military leadership across multiple organizational levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments with competing priorities.
- Experience supporting SAF/SQ, USSF, or similar DoD headquarters organizations.
- Familiarity with DoD task management systems, policy processes, and congressional correspondence.
- Advanced writing and editing skills for executive-level communication.
- Demonstrated adaptability to evolving mission priorities and dynamic work environments.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills supporting collaboration across agencies and stakeholder groups.
- Oversee and direct the receipt, assignment, tracking, and closure of all internal and external taskers within SAF/SQ.
- Manage staff actions using the Task Management Tool (TMT) and related systems to ensure timely coordination and completion.
- Analyze incoming taskers, assign actions to appropriate staff elements, and monitor progress to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for action tracking and reporting.
- Prepare tasker metrics, summaries, and periodic status reports for leadership review.
- Coordinate responses and verify accuracy prior to senior management review or release.
- Draft, proofread, and edit internal and external correspondence and official communications.
- Manage records and correspondence in accordance with Federal, DoD, and Air Force directives.
- Support briefings, point papers, and policy summaries for leadership.
- Lead, develop, and streamline organizational support functions and Integration Directorate processes.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, and task forces.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
