Astria Health is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician to join our team! This position is located at our Toppenish Hospital in the Behavioral Health Unit.

Shift: 10hr Night Shifts

What you get to do every day!

As the Lead Behavioral Health Technician, you will be responsible for selected patient care activities under the general supervision of the Director, Behavioral Health Services. You will:

• Coordinates relevant tasks and provides support for the patient’s therapeutic treatment plan
  
• Performs and provides patient care duties and assists with general hygiene needs
  
• Completes progress notes on assigned patients per program and hospital policy
  
• Frequently observes and records patient information pertinent to treatment plan and reports information to clinic team
  
• Provides oversight and support to staff completing documentation per program and hospital policy
  
• Maintains relevant documentation and processes per hospital policy
  
• Consistently follows and adheres to the hospital’s policies, confidentiality, privacy and corporate compliance programs including federal and state law
  
• Consistently follows and adheres to the hospital’s mission to deliver quality and compassionate health care services to patients
  
• Must be capable of engaging in crisis management using policy-approved verbal de-escalation, physical and mechanical restraint techniques, as trained, when managing potentially dysregulated or combative patients, while ensuring the safety of self, patients, and staff without physical restrictions.
  
• Provides support for patient therapeutic treatment plan

• High School Education or GED
• WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration Eligible
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred, or willing to obtain Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR) upon hire
• WA State Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
• Must maintain BLS
• Oral and written fluency in the English language
• Minimum of one year experience in Behavioral Health or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or willing to obtain Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) immediately upon hire as well as successful completion of NAR Training in which the employee is able to demonstrate all required competencies
