As a Commercial Business Director for the Specialty Care Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives!

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Thorough understanding of disease states and treatment pathways and innovative therapies prevalent in specialty care settings and varied healthcare environment, and able to influence specialists and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
  • Expertise in leveraging analytical objectivity, and advanced data and insights to focus on prescribing patterns to optimize account strategies and prioritize high-value accounts for specialized markets.
  • Demonstrates resilience and adaptative leadership while driving performance in complex and ambiguous specialty care market environment and effective execution of Brand strategies. 
  • Ensure sales forecasts and operational budgets are met or exceeded within the therapeutic area at a regional level. 
  • Model and coach to AZ’s Leadership capabilities by creating significant impact, climate of trust and influence over the stakeholders across specialty care environments and external networks.
  • Fosters a Growth Mindset, and continuous learning and improvement. Leverages new technology and data insights to capitalize on opportunities that improves patient care and streamlines process efficiency. 
  • Inspires a culture of entrepreneurial thinking and transformative patient-centric practices that embraces curiosity, ownership, accountability and engagement within the entire team through mentoring, coaching and continuous feedforward. 

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 yrs of demonstrated Sales or Commercial experience or a combination of: pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional or related industry.
  • 5 yrs proven leadership capabilities and/or people management experience
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $228,110 to $342,165 . Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program and commission payment eligibility. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
