Manager - Provider Relations

Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Provider Relations Manager in the Houston area who will be responsible for field and office activities in providing education and supporting the IPA’s provider network. The Provider Relations Manager will be working with contracted providers on managed care operations and ensure compliance with IPA and Health Plan standards.

What You'll Do

• Routine visits to providers in assigned territory to develop a trusted relationship and maintain open lines of communication between our organization and providers.
• Conduct provider onboarding, orientation, and ongoing educational training throughout the year to ensure providers remain compliant with state, federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure provider inquiries are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop and implement strategies for retention, growth, and marketing within assigned territories.
• Detailed reporting of provider visits, inquiries, trainings, and growth opportunities.
• Problem solve and identify ways to address provider issues timely and effectively.
• Must be able to travel frequently to assigned service area.
• Other duties assigned by department Manager.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in provider network scope of services.
• Strong understanding of Managed Care Operations.
• Minimum of 2 years' customer service, provider services or relevant work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  
  

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• This role will also need to report into our Houston office once per week for team meetings. The home office is located at 19500 TX-249, Suite 570, Houston, TX 77070.
• This position is a field representative position and requires traveling depending on assignments. or projects. This could be 3-4 times per week, and also requires monthly visits to provider offices.
• Occasionally required to work overtime and /or during the weekend.
• The total compensation target pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 annually and represents our national target range for this role.
