What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Assisting psychiatric providers with day-to-day clinical support
- Managing medication refill requests and pharmacy communication
- Completing prior authorizations for medications
- Performing urine drug screens (UDS) and coordinating lab-related tasks
- Taking vital signs and documenting patient information
- Communicating with patients regarding medication questions and provider instructions
- Working within the EMR to maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinating with insurance companies, pharmacies, and labs throughout the day
What You Need to Qualify
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Prior medical office or behavioral health experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and EMR systems
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a busy environment
- Behavioral health experience preferred due to the fast-paced nature of psychiatric medication management and patient communication.”
