Hotel Housekeeper

Overview

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team at the Norblad Hotel. Housekeepers play an important role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for our guests.

This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms and maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, works well independently, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but not required. We are happy to train the right person.

Duties

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing guest supplies.
• Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, stairs, and other areas of the hotel as needed.
• Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
• Safely use vacuums, mops, carpet cleaners, and other housekeeping equipment.
• Properly handle and use cleaning products and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Handle linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and other materials throughout the workday.
• Lift, bend, reach, push, and stand for extended periods as part of regular housekeeping duties.
• Respond to guest requests for additional towels, supplies, or other housekeeping needs in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or other concerns found in guest rooms or common areas.
• Follow hotel procedures and daily housekeeping assignments to ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for arriving guests.
• Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and our standards for cleanliness.
• Work cooperatively with the front desk and other hotel staff to help provide a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Able to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
• Able to safely handle cleaning products and follow proper safety procedures.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy hotel environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow hotel housekeeping standards and procedures.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
