Job Overview
As an OTR driver you would be hauling liquid bulk mostly the in South, Midwest and East coast. No New York.
Duties
- Safely operate tankers across long distances, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal routes to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo details in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery updates, route changes, or vehicle issues
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload processes for various liquid chemical bulk freight
- Familiarity with tanker trailers
- Strong understanding of route planning and delivery scheduling for efficient transportation
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks confidently
Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,500.00 per week
