Job Description
Support and help define processes for all entity and individual tax return preparation and planning. Utilize technology and tools to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and cost competitiveness. Assist the Tax Team resources both during the core season and throughout the year. Collaborate with clients in annual planning, estimating, and addressing situational tax-related inquiries, including necessary client communications. Engage in new and potential client meetings as required. Contribute to defining and adopting an annual tax file review methodology and protocol. Support process and procedure definition, enforcement, and improvements. Prepare select Business/Entity (1065, 1120S, 1120, 1040) and Individual Tax Returns accurately and timely for current and new clients. Review completed tax files prior to customer contact or pick-up in accordance with company annual review protocol.
Responsibilities
This role is based in the Apple Valley office with potential options to work in Lakeville or New Prague after onboarding. A hybrid work arrangement may be possible once there is confidence in performance. The office environment is smaller, modern, and pleasant. During peak tax season, the workweek may extend to 50-55 hours/week, however, you would receive overtime pay for this.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with clients on annual planning and situational tax questions.
- Engage in meetings with new and potential clients.
- Define and adopt annual tax file review methodology and protocol.
- Prepare Business/Entity and Individual Tax Returns accurately and timely.
- Review completed tax files before customer contact or pick-up.
- Minimum of 3 years of tax experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Individual tax experience.
- Experience with Accounting, Tax, Tax return, and Tax preparation.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Thomson Reuters (UltraTax).
- EA or CPA Certification preferred.
- Business, Trust, and Non-Profit tax experience preferred.
