What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Aston Carter?
Description:
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts for corporate including but not limited to the following: inter-company, prepaid expenses, initial direct cost, and accrued expenses
- Ensure allocations are recorded appropriately to each business unit monthly
- Send out monthly insurance invoices to each respective business unit
- Take ownership of assigned GL accounts, ensure accuracy, understanding, and consistency of application and compliance with GAAP
- Record monthly accounts payable accruals for corporate expenses
- Record credit card rebate entries
- Maintain and record prepaid expenses and prepaid rent
- Provide any ad-hoc reporting requested from either within or outside of the organization
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Assist the corporate accounting manager to prepare process documentation for corporate accounting
- Assist with monthly balance sheet & income statement fluctuation analysis
- Serve as backup for corporate and business unit’s fixed assets reporting using Sage
- Assist with the annual asset verification forms for the company
- Serve as backup for the AP accountant when needed
- Perform any additional duties as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.), 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Organized and able to manage multiple activities timely and with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Must possess strong working knowledge of MS Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- ERP software experience

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
