Sap Consultant (In Office)

The SAP S/4HANA Finance Optimization Consultant will support a post-implementation SAP S/4HANA environment that was deployed approximately four years ago. The consultant will focus on optimizing SAP S/4HANA usage across various financial functions and act as a liaison between Accounting and IT to enhance system efficiency, adoption, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current utilization of SAP S/4HANA across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Close.
• Identify manual workarounds, inefficiencies, and gaps in S/4HANA usage.
• Assess alignment between business processes and S/4HANA configuration.
• Recommend improvements leveraging S/4HANA best practices and finance functionality.
• Serve as the primary bridge between Accounting/Finance and IT.
• Translate finance and accounting requirements into system and process recommendations.
• Partner with IT on configuration enhancements, issue resolution, and process improvements.
• Support functional discussions related to SAP S/4HANA FI/CO and related finance modules.
• Develop and document SAP S/4HANA-specific SOPs for AP, AR, Accounting, and Finance.
• Standardize workflows, controls, and handoffs across teams.
• Create clear, user-friendly documentation aligned with S/4HANA transactions and Fiori apps.
• Design and deliver hands-on SAP S/4HANA training sessions for Accounting and Finance users.
• Provide role-based training tailored to AP, AR, GL, and Finance stakeholders.
• Increase adoption of SAP S/4HANA functionality.
• Identify longer-term optimization opportunities within SAP S/4HANA.
• Provide leadership with insights on system usage, adoption, and efficiency gains.
• Help establish sustainable processes that remain effective after the engagement concludes.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO).
• Proven experience supporting post-implementation optimization in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Deep understanding of AP, AR, General Ledger, and financial close processes.
• Experience acting as a liaison between Accounting/Finance and IT teams.
• Demonstrated ability to create SOPs and deliver end-user training.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Fiori for finance users.
• Experience in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Systems.
• Prior consulting experience in SAP S/4HANA optimization or finance transformation.
• Experience improving adoption following ERP implementations or conversions.
  
  

Work Environment

The position requires working on-site five days a week. The work environment provides an opportunity to act as a trusted business consultant to a large organization, partnering with executive leaders to optimize operations and drive meaningful cost savings through automation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $110.00/hr.
