The largest international food and beverage company headquartered in Seattle, WA is looking or a sharp, detail orientated individual that can create standards, procedures, and tools to ensure suppliers meet production requirements as a Quality Assurance Specialist!
This position is hybrid, with 3 days onsite within Seattle, WA and 2 days remote.
Description:
This role is responsible for implementing and auditing the manufacturing quality strategy and regulation compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). You will generate the right process and program quality with regulatory compliance to ensure the continuous supply of safe, wholesome and premium quality products to customers such as cups, wrappers, pens, notepads, etc. 1-2 years" Does not need laboratory experience.
While you will be working within a Food and Beverage company - this position will be working with NON FOOD PRODUCTS. Additionally, you do not need any laboratory experience!
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Creates standards, procedures and tools to leverage to assure that suppliers & facilities meet requirements. Implements PSQ training & programs.
- Applies in-depth technical knowledge to projects and gathers insights (i.e. testing, supplier and product assessment).
- Leads audits and qualifies facilities. Confirms accuracy of supplier documentation and assesses risk within the supply base. Ensures successful and timely completion of audits and corrective actions. Attends trials and commercialization runs, as needed.
- Uses multiple sources of information to make recommendations with guidance from manager. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Identifies trends & leads investigation and resolution of product issues.
- Proactively analyzes product safety and quality metrics and customer complaints. Escalates issues to manager. Lead investigation and resolution of PSQ concerns from regulators, stores, internal/external stakeholders.
- Understands and remains current on product safety and quality industry trends and practices. Adapts to learn new areas of the business.
- Develops project plans. Identifies key hurdles. Determines criteria for success. Recommends resources and timing.
- Completes assigned work and goals and adapts to changing priorities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-2 years' of QA experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Can be any field
- Experience with the Consumer Product and Safety Commission (CPSC) or Food and Drug Administration
- Proficiency with MSFT Suite
