Job Title: Plant Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plant Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing and consolidating financial statements, performing month-end and year-end closings, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong in accounting and finance, particularly within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements to ensure accuracy of accounting data.
• Perform month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Analyze accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain ledgers and subsidiary accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Understand job cost, cost analysis, and inventory market.
• Assist with audits and maintain internal controls.
• Provide accounting support for inventory and product pricing.
• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and cash receipts.
• Monitor and report on financial performance; recommend cost-saving and profit-improvement strategies.
• Participate in setting and reviewing standard costs and analyze variances.
• Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
  
  

Essential Skills

• 5 years of general accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 years of Excel experience, including understanding basic functions/formulas.
• Experience with journal entries, accounts payable, financial statements, accounts receivable, financial reporting, inventory, ERP, budgeting, and standard costs.

• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience with EPICOR.
• Ability to be highly accurate with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, handle stressful situations, multitask, and prioritize work.
• Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
• Strong analytical ability.
  
  

Work Environment

The work environment is an open concept office, usually quiet to moderate in noise level. This is a very hands-on role within a tight-knit group of professionals who are passionate about their work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.06/hr.
