Job Title: Payroll AssistantJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Payroll Assistant to provide essential support in our payroll department. This role involves managing payroll-related tasks, including sending union dues checks, booking appointments, scanning time cards, and handling workers' compensation reporting. You will also assist with payroll reporting and data updates, contributing to the smooth operation of our office functions.ResponsibilitiesSend union dues checks accurately and timely.Book and manage appointments efficiently.Scan time cards and other payroll-related documents.Assist with workers' compensation reporting.Perform light payroll reporting and data updates.Essential SkillsExperience with union payroll functions.Knowledge of garnishments and multi-state payroll processes.Proficiency in Excel.Minimum of 1 year of payroll experience, including time card entry and payroll reporting.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with JDEdwards software.Experience with ADP Smart Compliance - Tax.Payroll processing experience is a plus.Understanding of payroll tax and reconciliation processes.Experience with SAP and ADP Workforcenow.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
