Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely invoicing and payments, and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities

• Generate and send invoices to customers accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and communicate with customers to ensure timely payment.
• Preauthorize customer credit cards and accurately enter payments and credits into the ERP system.
• Assist the Controller with the credit approval process and related paperwork.
• Process and verify weekly check deposits using Acumatica.
• Assist with the RMA process and prepare necessary documentation.
• Communicate with vendors, collect and review documents for payment, and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide support with the intercompany process using Customer Island.
• Coordinate with departments to complete compliance-related documents and corporate credit card expenses.
• Maintain accurate financial data entry and address issues as they arise.
• Assist with special accounting and finance projects and produce reports as requested.
• Work with the Controller on updating the corporate general ledger and other financial processes.
  
  

Essential Skills

• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and their cash impact.
• Detail-oriented and accurate with daily tasks such as invoicing, cash receipts, and payables.
• Proficient in general ledger and month-end procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Acumatica ERP, QuickBooks, Shopify, and Amazon store experience.
• Prior experience in a small, collaborative company.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Comfortable with a mix of social interaction and independent desk work.
• Willingness to assist outside of strict job responsibilities when needed.

Leadership values hard work, fun, and respects family life. The position is mostly on-site with the potential for a hybrid setup (4 days in, 1 day remote) after training and proven performance. Employees enjoy flexible start times (8–5 or 9–6) with a 1-hour lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palatine, IL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.84/hr.
