Invoicing Specialist

Job Title: Invoicing SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Invoice Verification Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and validity of invoices before processing payments. This role involves reviewing invoices, matching them with purchase orders and receipts, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with internal departments and vendors to maintain financial accuracy and compliance with company policies. The role will also be part of the logistics team and assist with documentation, operational tasks, and other needs the logistics team has.ResponsibilitiesReview and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.Match invoices with purchase orders and goods receipts to ensure correct billing.Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies, working closely with suppliers and internal teams.Process approved invoices for payment within designated timeframes.Maintain accurate records of invoice verification activities.Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting by providing necessary documentation.Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company accounting policies.Support internal and external audits by providing invoice-related information.Continuously improve invoice processing efficiency through automation and best practices.Essential SkillsProven experience in invoice processing, accounts payable, or financial verification.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).Work EnvironmentWorking within the Logistics department, which consists of roughly 20 people, handling all invoices that come in. The role is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, requiring on-site presence Monday through Friday. The job is full-time, from 8 AM to 5 PM.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
