Job Description
The Inventory Specialist supports a high-volume digital photo studio by receiving, organizing, and preparing products for photography. This role focuses on managing daily inventory deliveries, maintaining an orderly studio environment, and coordinating shipments, while working closely with the operations team in a fast-paced eCommerce setting.
Responsibilities
This position is based in a busy digital photo studio in Brooklyn, NY, supporting a high-volume eCommerce operation. The standard schedule runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role is physically active, requiring standing for most of the day and regularly lifting 50–80 lbs while unloading deliveries and moving products around the studio. Work is performed on-site using PC-based systems and studio inventory tools. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and process-driven, with a consistent daily schedule set by the operations team and a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked workspace.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Unload and manage daily inventory deliveries from carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
- Accurately enter received inventory into internal systems and update records as needed.
- Prepare products for processing and photography, ensuring items are ready for the studio team.
- Move, organize, and stage photographed products within the studio to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Coordinate and prepare daily outbound shipments for UPS.
- Clean and maintain the workspace, including replenishing studio supplies and keeping areas organized.
- Follow a consistent daily schedule set by the operations team and meet productivity expectations.
- Communicate clearly with studio, operations, and fulfillment teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ability to stand for the full workday.
- Capability to lift 50–80 lbs safely and repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail when handling, tracking, and organizing inventory.
- Basic logistical knowledge related to shipping, receiving, and inventory flow.
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of PC platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in or experience with eCommerce, fulfillment, or inventory handling.
- Experience or interest in working in a commercial photo studio environment.
- Background in eCommerce, operations, customer service, merchandising, or fulfillment.
- Familiarity with labeling processes and inventory identification.
- Exposure to photography or studio operations.
- Desire for a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for extension based on performance.
