Job Description
We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to manage end-to-end inventory for remanufactured products, ensuring accurate tracking and timely resolution of issues. This role involves working within an automotive distribution center network, focusing on inventory accuracy and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage inventory for remanufactured Core products, including returns from dealerships.
- Monitor inventory movement, balances, discrepancies, and aging across approximately 36 distribution and supplier-supported locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within SAP and supporting tracking tools.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities related to Core recovery, availability, and turnaround time.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics using Excel and other analytical tools to support operational and leadership decision-making.
- Partner closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve inventory issues and ensure alignment across locations.
- Investigate and drive resolution to inventory discrepancies, shortages, delays, and process breakdowns between distribution and recovery sites.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements and data-driven solutions.
- Assist with inventory audits, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls and procedures.
- Provide analytical support for special projects related to remanufactured products, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–10 years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain analytics, or distribution center operations.
- Strong experience working with inventory systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis).
- Proven ability to analyze large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers or third-party partners across multiple locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve cross-site inventory challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and locations.
- Experience supporting remanufactured, reverse logistics, or Core recovery programs.
- Automotive, manufacturing, or distribution center environment experience.
- Familiarity with inventory KPIs, reconciliation processes, and audit support.
- Experience building dashboards or reporting tools beyond Excel (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
