POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for creating and implementing HR policies and programs concerning talent acquisition and retention, talent management, total rewards, organizational development, regulatory compliance, employee relations, engagement, union avoidance, and health and safety for the multi-site North American division of the company. This position will successfully partner with leadership across all sites and departments to provide support, achieve growth, and maintain profitable revenue.

Job Functions

• Partners with organizational leadership to grow diverse leadership, talent, and technical capabilities within the business.
• Leads the coordination of HR programs and processes that drive innovation and employee engagement.
• Implements programs to improve performance for manufacturing operations.
• Serves as a trusted advisor with stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Negotiates total rewards programs and drives company branding initiatives to establish the organization as employer of choice.
• Provides group and one-on-one coaching to support organizational development such as leadership development, business decision-making, HR management, problem solving and performance management.
• Plays a consultative role in employee communication initiatives within business groups.
• Ensures personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations; ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Well-versed in employment policies, procedures, and reporting; develops pertinent metrics and analysis.
• Administers compensation programs, salary planning, bonus programs and job evaluation.
• Works closely with immigration attorney on immigration matters.
• Process salaried payroll and serve as backup to HR Representative on hourly payroll.
• Lead the effective management, motivation, and training of safety; work closely with internal partners to ensure compliance to achieve safety objectives.
  
  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS / Critical competencies

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• 7 or more years of progressive HR management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience implementing new HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational objectives.
• Experience with employee relations, training, and recruiting in corporate and manufacturing environments.
• Experience partnering with recruiters and staffing agencies, driving top talent at best cost.
• Previous experience leading HR staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior experience utilizing HRIS and/or payroll systems and solid understanding of payroll laws.
• Experience driving performance management throughout an organization from a corporate level.
• Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and prior experience leading safety initiatives.
• Ability to travel periodically to other locations with potential for international travel.
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Master’s degree in HR or related field.
• Prior experience leading HR initiatives in a corporate and multi-site setting.
• Strong project management skills.
• SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/CP certification.
• Prior experience with PLEX or another ERP is a plus.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification.
  
  

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sparta, TN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
