Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 5 accounting staff, providing guidance, oversight, and development.
- Oversee company-wide accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting and controls.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Support and mentor the accounting team, including the Staff Accountant who will report directly to this role.
- Partner with leadership to support business and financial decision-making.
- Ensure consistent accounting processes and best practices are followed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proven experience in an accounting leadership or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and operational mindset.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement when needed.
- Confident in managing people and processes.
- Steady, reliable, and capable of maintaining continuity when needed.
- Interested in long-term stability and team development.
