Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls.
- Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Oversee job costing, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Monitor labor, material, and overhead costs within welding and fabrication operations.
- Partner with operations to improve margins and production efficiency.
- Evaluate inventory valuation, work-in-progress, and COGS accuracy.
- Support pricing decisions and project profitability analysis.
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop realistic financial plans.
- Track performance against budget and identify risks and opportunities.
- Provide scenario analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.
- Optimize accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Supervise accounting staff in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions.
- Develop team capabilities and ensure accountability.
- Establish efficient processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and job costing systems.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to translate financial data into operational insights.
- Effective communication with both financial and non-financial teams.
- Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.
