Aston Carter is now hiring an Intermediate Buyer in Littleton, CO.

Job Description:
- Process Purchase Orders.
- Determine proper cost allocation.
- Provide the necessary specifications to suppliers and provide details to support specifications.
- Identify the most cost-effective shipping method.
- Submit approved purchase orders to suppliers, lead time, and price.
- Review and update minimum stock levels for all recurring purchases - mitigate risk of stock out and over-supply.
- Meet established price, quality and on-time delivery objectives.
- Ensure current and accurate information regarding parts, suppliers and shipment status is input and reflected in system.
- Work with new suppliers to be added to the Approved Supplier List.
- Develop working relationships with suppliers, and negotiate payment terms.
- Resolve invoice issues identified by Accounts Payable.
- Verify purchases on procurement cards are acceptable.
- Accurately code purchasing card receipts; including accounting information, requester and product requested each month, prior to close.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of buying/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment - experience in a regulated industry is preferred
- Experience with inventory management
- MRP system knowledge
- Experience working with supply contracts
- Proficiency in ERP software
- Related bachelor's degree is preferred, not required
