The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and able to work cross‑functionally to maintain optimal inventory levels and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Source, select, and purchase materials, components, and services based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to support organizational goals.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or invoice discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain production and material plans based on sales forecasts, production capacity, and historical usage.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess supply.
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics to support on‑time delivery and efficient material flow.
- Analyze inventory data and recommend adjustments to safety stock levels.
- Monitor MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system data and ensure accuracy of item records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain processes.
- Prepare reporting on supplier performance, inventory metrics, and planning accuracy.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in buying, planning, or supply chain roles.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data tools.
