Responsibilities
This position is located in Chicago, IL, and operates in a plant environment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with the possibility of starting as early as 5:30 AM for 3rd shift safety training. The role offers a professional, fast-paced environment where ideas and experiences are valued. This is a contract-to-hire role with a clear path to full-time employment after a 90-day probation period.

Job Description
We are seeking a Training Specialist to support safety and learning initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, tech-savvy, and comfortable presenting to diverse groups.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training sessions for employees, including safety, compliance, and operational topics.
- Coordinate weekly training schedules with supervisors; conduct make-up sessions as needed (English-only and Spanish-only sessions).
- Utilize Alchemy training software for program delivery; provide alternative solutions if Alchemy experience is lacking.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Travel to train with the Corporate Representative as part of onboarding.
- Support additional HR projects as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in training, safety, learning & development, or a related field. A teaching profile is also considered.
- Familiarity with Alchemy training platform and experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking to groups.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate early morning sessions.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong organizational skills and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to contribute to compliance and operational excellence.
- Experience in HR and interest in growing within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
