Job Title: Associate Buyer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Buyer to manage and maintain accurate purchase order data, communicate effectively with vendors, and resolve any issues that could cause delays in the supply chain. This role is integral in ensuring smooth and efficient operations through diligent procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current and accurate purchase order data in the purchasing system, including delivery dates, pricing, and change orders.
• Communicate regularly with vendors and suppliers to confirm delivery dates, resolve issues, and manage lead times.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that could cause delays, such as incorrect shipments or production line stoppages.
• Assist with resolving discrepancies between purchase order requirements and supplier performance.
• Assist with quotations from prospective suppliers and make decisions regarding the award of purchase orders.
• Assist with performing complex purchasing activities, including pricing, volume discounts, negotiating terms and long-term contracts with suppliers, and delivery of goods/services.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in purchasing and procurement practices.
• Experience with SAP and Excel.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of aerospace industry standards.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with commodities and electronics procurement.
  
  

Work Environment

The position operates Monday to Friday with two possible shifts: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The work environment emphasizes collaboration and effective communication with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate order management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Simi Valley, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.60 - $32.00/hr.
