Nurse Practitioner – APRN
PART TIME- Ability to work 2 days Tuesday and Thursday.
JOB SUMMARY
The duties of a Nurse Practitioner - APRN mid-level provider include, but are not limited to, providing accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education and follow-up care to patients ranging in age from 6 years old; proper maintenance of records, under the direction of the Supervisory Physician and any other reasonable and proper duties assigned.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Examine patients and record history
- Adhere to proper charting protocols
- Discuss with Physician and other health care professionals to prepare comprehensive plan
- Order and do tests as needed
- Submit health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review by Physician
- Analyze results of tests, diagnose and report to patient
- Administer or prescribe treatment and medications
- Promote health by advising patient on allergic and asthma prevention of disease
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Refer to specialist as required for patient's well-being
- Perform diagnostic tests
- Other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have and maintain current State of Florida license in good standing
- Current National Board Certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Effective written, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Show initiative, creativity and problem-solving ability
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to provide quality healthcare
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience using an electronic medical records system
- Bilingual a plus, but not required (English/Spanish)
RELATIONSHIP REPORTING
Reports to the Medical Director
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to sit, stand or view a computer screen for extended periods of time

- Ability to reach with hands and arms
