Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and compassionate Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service in a very busy allergy office. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Preparing office visit notes each day, including reviewing and updating medical histories, medication lists and lab/imaging reports.
- Have the ability to observe and listen while scribing, using correct spelling, grammar and medical terminology.
- Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and stocking supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and treatment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical scribe is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is helpful but can be obtained at a later date.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
