Job Title: Senior Oracle Exadata DBA
Location: Hybrid– Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata DBA to lead the migration of large Oracle 19c databases (100 TB) from standard AWS environments to Oracle Exadata in AWS. This role is responsible for optimizing, administering, and supporting Exadata platforms across development, test, and production environments, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability for a large portfolio of applications.
The DBA will work closely with engineering and application teams to modernize database architecture, streamline data models, and implement best practices for operating mission‑critical systems on Exadata within AWS.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead end‑to‑end migration of large 19c databases to Oracle Exadata in AWS, including planning, execution, cutover, and validation.
• Design and implement Exadata‑optimized database configurations, storage features, and performance strategies. - Manage Oracle Exadata environments (dev/test/prod), including schema design, data modeling, and SQL optimization.
• Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR/ASH analysis, indexing, partitioning, and resource management.
• Administer high‑availability and DR configurations using Oracle Data Guard.
• Implement and manage replication solutions such as Oracle GoldenGate. - Troubleshoot performance, configuration, and availability issues across Exadata and Linux platforms.
• Execute backups, restores, patching, and upgrades for Exadata environments.
