Job Summary:
Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is looking for patient, compassionate, and reliable individuals to join the team as a part time behavior interventionist to work with children with developmental disabilities.
The ideal candidate will have compassion and a desire to help our clients improve and reach their maximum potential. Adaptability and an eagerness to learn is a plus! Experienced and new candidates are welcome to apply!
As a Behavior Interventionist (BI), you will be working with a team to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans following along the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The implementations of these treatment plans are geared to help improve the quality of life of our clients.
The pay is hourly, and ranges based on experience, education, and languages spoken.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST have negative TB test & clear criminal background
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
- Available Monday – Friday, in the afternoons
- 6 months of experience providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance (Is a must)
- Basic knowledge of internet and technology (smartphone, tablet)
- Bilingual is a plus
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct implementation of individualized treatment plans with the utilization of evidence based ABA strategies
- Address challenging behaviors utilizing antecedent and consequence based strategies that have been outlined within a behavior intervention plan
- Daily data collection of skills within acquisition, as well as occurrences of challenging behavior
- Attend mandatory trainings
- Maintain effective communication with the Clinical Supervisor/BCBA, as well as admin team
- Maintain professional and ethical standards
