What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inpatient Nursing Assistant position at Astera Health?
Astera Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a passion to be part of the Inpatient Nursing (Med/Surg) team. Inpatient Nursing Assistants are primarily responsible for providing direct patient care on the Med/Surg floor in coalition with the Registered Nurses and Providers, and are considered vital in our workflow processes as they directly care for our patients.
This position is scheduled at 72 hours bi-weekly, 12-hour night shifts, with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation. Some responsibilities of the Inpatient Nursing Assistant include, but are not limited to the following:

Observing and reporting patient data

Performing patient care and assistance

Ensuring applicable patient and family needs are met

Taking patient records

Maintaining patient care supplies
Education and experience required:
- Nurse’s Aide Technical Training or Certification
- Maintain active BLS certification
