Astera's Urology group is seeking a medical scribe on a full-time basis. This position will be based in our Denville, NJ location. The work schedule is 4 days (off Wednesdays).

Job Description
Astera's Urology group is seeking a medical scribe on a full-time basis. This position will be based in our Denville, NJ location. The work schedule is 4 days (off Wednesdays).
Responsibilities
- Take medical histories.
- Accompany physicians into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam.
- List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
- Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
- Document any procedures performed by the physician.
- At least 1 year of working in a medical office, preferably urology.
- Competence in Microsoft applications.
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology and medical records.
- Knowledge of EMR Systems.
